Disney Vacation: Day 9

We had to wake up really early in order to get to the airport on time to catch our flights. It was hard to get up so early and in the dark!

We sang Happy Birthday to Rick, showered, packed up our final items and called for Bell Services. We said goodbye to the room and took our luggage out front in the chilly morning to wait.

We got to the Carriage House and the bell man gave us a Magic Express voucher (since it never came) and we tried to check in our luggage but it didn't work (possibly because I had checked in via my phone?) so we took the bags and waited for the bus. It was probably in the high 40s that morning which was near the high for the day when we got back in to Syracuse.

Once we arrived at the airport, we had to wait in a very long line at Jet Blue to check our bags (oops!) and then security went pretty quickly. Once we got by our gate, we stopped to grab breakfast before boarding our flight. The flight went pretty well - the girls were happy to have TVs again - and we landed in JFK with no issues.

We located our next gate and found an area to eat lunch. The new Jet Blue terminal at JFK is pretty nice compared to the "old" JFK I remember. It was like a food court so we all picked what we wanted and paid one cashier.

We boarded our final flight - only a short 1 hour - and we were back in Syracuse. Our luggage all arrived too. Lorraine (grandma) and Uncle Steve picked us up at the airport.

When we got home, the puppies were so happy to see us and we had missed them too - especially Delilah!

We unpacked the car and then Rick raced off to a coaches meeting - we had to save our birthday dinner and cake for another night!
