We woke up early for our flights. Caitlin woke up around 2am but went back to sleep until I got up at 3am to pack. Rick stayed up all night to clean and pack. We woke Alexa up at 4am.
Uncle Steve came to drive us to the airport. It took a long time to let the puppies out and Rick's suitcase broke so he had to repack into another suitcase from the basement. it took a short but nerve-wracking drive to get to the airport. Almost everyone fell asleep but I kept looking at the clock thinking we might not make it in time.
We arrived at the airport and checked our bags at the curb. There was a long (for Syracuse) line for security and I was really afraid we were going to miss our flight. Rick got selected for extra screening and to have his back checked and then we had a quick bathroom stop before walking right onto the plane with no time to spare. With Jet Blue we each had a TV/XM Radio in our seats. I took a little nap during the flight but Caitlin kept Rick on his toes. We each had a drink and cookies or chips. Caitlin even made rick take her in the tiny airplane bathroom!
We landed a little early in Orlando, found our luggage, and hopped right on our Magical Express bus after a quick photo opportunity with Hello Kitty, of course.
We were able to see a few other Disney hotels first - Fort Wilderness, Port Orleans, and our old "fave" Old Key West.
Since i had done online check in, it was very quick to check in at Saratoga Springs and to our surprise our room was ready! (11:30am vs 3 or 4 pm!) We took our bags to the room, and went for a short walk to the Paddock pool.
We found a table and ate lunch right next to the pool.
After lunch we thought about taking a dip but we were so tired we watched cartoons and napped for a long time.
After our nap, we woke up really hungry for dinner. We walked over to the Artists' Palette. The girls each made a drawing and were featured as "Artists of the Day." We called it an early night so we could get up early to get ready for our cruise.
