Mid-September Update

School starts and everything gets busy!

First grade is going really well for Alexa. She doesn't always tell us a lot about her day so we are excited to go to Open House next week. She gets about 10 minutes of math homework every night. Caitlin has to do "homework" too because it's not fair if sister gets to use the paper, crayons and pencils and she doesn't.

Dance class started this week. This year Alexa is taking ballet and tap again and trying acro and jazz -- for a marathon 2 hours of dance on Wednesday nights. That will definitely tire her out! She had a lot of fun and has some of her friends in her classes.

Early tomorrow morning is Alexa's first day of soccer. She's been asking about soccer for so long, she is very excited. Hopefully, I will get some photos tomorrow!

Caitlin's been doing well. She is growing up so fast. She is talking so much more -- her vocabulary has grown so quickly. She is still our morning alarm clock and she leads Alexa around. Daycare is still less than desirable and there were some issues this week. Hopefully in about six months we'll be able to get her into the pre-school type daycare that Alexa went to before kindergarten. We really liked the teachers and the center is much nicer.
