Thanksgiving is such a big holiday, we decided to make it a 4-day celebration. Thursday, we had a little Thanksgiving with Rick's mom and brother. A day of food, football, and looking through the all-important Black Friday ads.
Alexa and Caitlin were trying to make their Christmas "Wish" lists for Santa. Alexa still remembers the gift that got away last year. She wanted a Furreal dog, but she got a Furreal bird instead. As serious and sad as can be, she told me that "Santa just does not always get you what you want." I think she will probably remember the "Furreal" incident forever.
We did much of our Black Friday shopping online this year and Friday Grandmama came up to visit. She left Grandpa Bob home so he wouldn't share his cold germs.
We had both Grandmama and Grandma to dinner at our house and, after dinner, we took out our new roulette wheel. It was a lot of fun. Is it bad that Alexa "won" more chips than I did? Now to figure out how to play craps...
Alexa finally lost her second tooth tonight. It's been loose for about three weeks. Again, brave as can be, she yanked it right out. The Tooth Fairy makes another visit to our house tonight.
