Vacation Day 2 - Driving South

Today was our first full day spent on the road. We started in southern PA, drove through a little bit of Maryland, West Virginia and then Virginia. Driving through western Virginia and North Carolina was very scenic - the Blue Ridge were beautiful!

We took a break and stopped at Chik-Fil-A for lunch. It was yummy and the girls got to burn off some energy in the playroom. They even ate at a kids-sized table and chairs.

We continued driving after lunch, with some breaks to stretch our legs, and a stop for dinner at Cracker Barrel. They had some issues (we did not complain at all) so they gave us a free dinner. It was weird to be asked if we wanted to sit in smoking or non-smoking since all of New York has been non-smoking for a while now!

We drove late again while the girls were sleeping and we stopped for the night about 5 miles north of the South Carolina & Georgia border. Only 4.5 hours to drive tomorrow!
